Yesterday my Son-in-law came home from Afghanistan. I am so happy for my daughter and grandsons. He can not believe he made it, it was a long year for him to be apart from his family. My daughter struggled through alot. The boys are a handful and I know she made the best of everything God gave her. She would call me everyday and I never heard her complaint about anything. I know I raised a strong minded woman. I never had to second guess her decisions on how to handle life with out Matt. But she did it. So today she is a happy wife and mother that is in love with her family. Thank you Jesus for all that you have done for my Tess. They are coming down from Ft Hood on Saturday for the long weekend. I have as a good Mom, have agreed to take care of the boys the weekend so she and Matt can have time to themselves.
I know that when they get back to the base they will be getting ready to move 10 hours away to Ft Bliss. Now that in itself will be a challenge for me. I have never been so far aways from my daughter. But I know she is her own person, but as a Mom I still feel she needs me. This is something that I need to get over. I have my 7 year old Bella to keep me company. Well y'all that has been my day how about you?
Good morning Olga. I bet your grandsons will love getting mail from you. In this day in age when there is internet and cell phones, a good old fashioned card or letter is something to cherish. When you get to visit them, you will have such quality time....getting as much love in as you can. Have a blessed day!
